A visitor is an individual who is not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and is legally authorized to enter Canada on a temporary basis for purposes such as tourism, visiting family or friends, or conducting business.

Super Visa

The Super Visa is a long-term, multiple-entry visa that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to visit Canada for extended periods—up to two years at a time—without the need to renew their status.

Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for a Super Visa, applicants must:

    • A written commitment of financial support for the duration of the visit
    • A list of household members of the host
    • A copy of the host’s Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document
    • Is valid for a minimum of one year from the date of entry
    • Offers at least CAD $100,000 in emergency coverage
    • Is fully paid (insurance quotes are not accepted)
